About Us

Sutton Coldfield Sub Aqua Club (BSAC No 0425)

We are members of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), the largest diving club in the world.  Our branch formed back in January 1971 and we have been very active club ever since.

We have a range of divers of all grades and interests within the club, from Ocean Diver to Advanced Instructors.  Some like wreck diving, some scenic, some technical and re-breathers, photographers and fish enthuiasts.  Basically there is something for everyone and there is never a shortage of someone to talk to about a particular topic.

Our boats (& Keith & Gwens) in the Scillies

The Club owns two RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats) which are used when diving off our coasts.

We dive regularly all around the UK from our boats and also charter hard boats on occasions.

On the way out to dive the Scylla - Plymouth
Once members have completed a boathandling course then they can drive the boats too, which is great fun!!!

At least one club trip a year is organised abroad and our members have dived all over the word.

We don’t just like diving, we are a very sociable club too, often arranging events (taboganing, go-karting, quiz nights, disco’s, meals out and just good olds nights in the pub).
